  1. Great plugin ;)

There is only a thing to check when installing Hiddy imho. If your wordpress setup use a custom template you have to make sure that comments’ pages are using the standard form generation mechanism.

    Taken from http://codex.wordpress.org/Theme_Development#Defining_Custom_Templates

    comment_form
Goes in comments.php and comments-popup.php, directly before the comment form’s closing tag (). Example plugin use: display a comment preview.

    Usage: ID); ?>

I hope this is useful ;)

  2. Hello!

I have a problem with the trackback filtering. When I activate it, it just deletes all trackbacks, not only the spam. When I deactivate it my Akismet has about 300 trackback Spams a day, and it sucks to read dozens of pages with trackback spam to find one that is no spam.

Any idea what I can do?

  3. hi angi
i had the same problem with another blog
    just change your .htaccess file

add a rewriting rule integrating wordpress’s one

    RewriteCond %{HTTP_USER_AGENT} TrackBack|USERAGENT
    RewriteRule ^(.*)$ ^http://%{REMOTE_ADDR}/$ [R=301,L]

  4. I just have to add that to my htaccess? Sorry for asking, I haven’t changed anything in my htaccess before. The Hiddy Trackback Filtering, should it be activated or deactivated?

  5. Hi,
I’ve installed hiddy a few days ago without problem until 5 minutes ago, when I tried to post a comment (I already did it in other occasions without problems). I’m the administrator of the blog I’m talking about, and in that moment I was logged.
    The text is this: http://www.iacchi.org/2008/03/29/libprs500-in-italiano/#comment-1038
When I clicked on Send, I saw a page from hiddy saying that he detected spam, but that’s absurd!
I’m using Firefox 3.0b4, but as I said with the same configuration I didn’t get any error before!

  6. Same problem here :-\

Right now I had to disable the plugin since I wasn’t able to comment.
